Sponsor a Walker
Choose this if you would like to donate to a specific individual. Your donation will increase the fundraising total for the specific individual. If that individual is on a team, it will also increase the team's fundraising total. You will be able to search for a specific participant to which to donate.
Donate to a Team
Choose this if you would like donate to a team and not a specific participant. Your donation will increase the team fundraising total but not a specific individual on the team. You will be able to search for a specific team to which to donate.
Donate to the Event
Choose this if you would like to donate to the overall event and not to a team or individual. Your donation will increase the fundraising total on the event thermometer but will not support a specific team or individual participant. You will not be able to search for a specific team or individual participant to which to donate.

"No one should struggle to breathe. That is why I am walking in the Fight For Air Walk."

Our team comprises of the Ankeny and Ankeny Centennial High School Freshman Cheerleading Squads. Our mission is cessation and prevention of tobacco use in youth as well as adults and to prove we can overcome pulmonary disease!

My mission as team captain is to honor those I love who struggle to breathe. Last October, my mother was diagnosed with very severe C.O.P.D. in which the doctor told her she may only have three more years. Three of my grandparents passed away from lung cancer, two of which before I was born. I have many relatives who have asthma as well, so I am walking for my family!

Please either join me and register for the walk or make a generous donation to the American Lung Association to support our FIGHT FOR AIR.

Thank you for joining this important fight for children with asthma, teens who are pressured to start smoking, adults who struggle to quit smoking, people with lung cancer, emphysema, and/or C.O.P.D., and everyone who wants to breathe healthy air in our communities.
