Sponsor a Walker
Choose this if you would like to donate to a specific individual. Your donation will increase the fundraising total for the specific individual. If that individual is on a team, it will also increase the team's fundraising total. You will be able to search for a specific participant to which to donate.
Donate to a Team
Choose this if you would like donate to a team and not a specific participant. Your donation will increase the team fundraising total but not a specific individual on the team. You will be able to search for a specific team to which to donate.
Donate to the Event
Choose this if you would like to donate to the overall event and not to a team or individual. Your donation will increase the fundraising total on the event thermometer but will not support a specific team or individual participant. You will not be able to search for a specific team or individual participant to which to donate.

I have healthy lungs; I have always had healthy lungs. I have never known what it felt like to struggle to breath, but this was nothing new to my sister Erin, she had asthma for most of her life. On September 14, 2007, the struggle was too much, and asthma took her life. She was only 22.

After Erin died it felt I had lost everything, but soon I realized that there was an important thing that I still had that Erin never did--healthy lungs.

Healthy lungs allow me to share Erin's story and how dangerous asthma can be. Erin's asthma was controlled by the treatment she received from a lung specialist. We knew the facts on asthma, but there was still so much we didn't know, and we certainly never imagined it would kill her.

Healthy lungs allow me to support the American Lung Association by raising donations and walking at the Lung Walk. Our donations provide funding for programs and research that can better the lives of those living with asthma and other lung diseases. Most importantly, money donated can help provide people with the information they need to win their Fight for Air.

So many people are affected by lung disease, your donation, big or small, can make a difference. Erin should have never lost her Fight for Air, but together we can change that for others. Please consider supporting Team Remember Erin in the 2012 Lung Walk.
