Fundraising Page for Kristen Michelle Stivers
No one should struggle to breathe. That is why I am participating in the Fight For Air Climb.
My mother, Carol Stivers, passed away in 2005 from complications related to decades of cigarette smoking For the final years of her life, I saw her in and out of critical care wards, attached to supplementary oxygen, and unable to visit my apartments because she could not climb stairs. Because of cigarettes, she's gone much too soon.
It's too late for my mother, but it's not too late to make a difference in her memory. This will be my forth year participating in the American Lung Association's Fight for Air Climb. I started in San Francisco, continued twice in Boston, and I'm proud to be back in San Francisco where I started. I've raised thousands of dollars over the years, but it's still not enough. So long as I can breathe freely, I'll continue participating in this event to make up for the stairs my mom could not climb.
Please consider sponsoring me as I do this!
