This summer I'm riding in the Trek Across Maine, a 3-day 180 mile bike ride from the mountains to the sea. Funds raised help support the American Lung Association's great work in support of clean air.

My participation this year is especially significant for me.  It marks the 30th anniversary of this signature event.  If you have supported me before, or endured my requests for pledges, you know I ride in memory of my dad Bernie who died 7 years ago.  His memory burns brightly and I can think of no better way to honor him than to help raise money for the Lung Association.

This year I will also be carrying a memorial stone to honor the memory of Sgt. Joshua Kirk from South Portland.  Sgt. Kirk died in 2009 while on active duty in Afghanistan.  He and other service members from Maine are part of a living memorial known as The Summit Project...more information here: http://mainememorial.org

Please make a plege in support of the American Lung Association's good work to provide clean air for all of us, and help me honor the memory of a fallen hero.

Every contribution matters no matter the size.

Thanks so much!!

Andy
