Hello and thanks for visiting my BikeTrek page!
2014 was my first year riding in the Bike Trek to Shakertown and participating in this great fundraising event. As we begin the 31st year, I've joined the advisory committee, and I am proud to be a part of it.
For those of you who know me well, you are aware that I am not a "regular" fundraiser. In fact this is the only event for which I actively seek contributions from others. While there are certianly many worthwhile causes for all of us to support, I came to realize through friends and my own personal experience with lung disease (my son Owen's asthma), that this is a vastly important issue that touches practically all of us in a number of ways. We all have friends and family who suffer from lung disease in one form or another, and their quality of life can be greatly improved by continued research and education regarding these maladies.
Our team, the Village Idiots, live up to our name, and try very hard to have a good time while ensuring nobody around us on the Trek takes us seriously, except when it comes to our fundraising efforts! I encourage you to show your support of the American Lung Association by sponsoring my participation in this event. Every donation, big or small, helps, and our team in helping to fight lung disease.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!
