2018 marks our 6th year in riding and supporting the American Lung Association. We are excited for this event every year. It is both an opportunity as a community, to support the fight against lung disease, as well as an opportunity to breath clean air while enjoying beautiful Oregon scenery.
This ride is fully supported through many generous sponsors and we have the luxury of reduced cars on the road while we enjoy this ride. If you have never done ride, this is a great ride to start a new adventure!
Over the last 5 years we have had the fortune of having Rose-Ann's father, Herb Stark Sr, a National Cyclist and New Zealand track holder, ride with us. We have had family members and close friends ride with us as well. To name a few, Edwin Brown, Alyssa Hamness Hoyt, Ryley Hamness, Emily Henry, Stephanie Vickers, Jake Hamnes (yes only 1 s for him), Erik Hofland, Heather Wiemers, Emily Bergman and Donovan Stewart (Hamness). We have so enjoyed riding with each of these individuals! They all have made this journey even more rewarding!
And the youngest Sprout Cycles team member, Ryley Hamness, age 8, plans to increase the number of miles he rides with us again this year. For now, back to training! Thank you for your support to our team and the American Lung Association!
