Lung disease has affected many people in my life.  My mother and her father died from COPD, my brother Tim has asthma,my grandfather Shorty Korevaar died from lung cancer, as did a close friend of our family, Betty Lou Pesterfield.  By participating in this ride with my brother Tim I hope to make a small difference in the world.  Plus it's a lot of fun and good excercise! No one should struggle to breathe. That is why I am participating in Reach the Beach.
