Patient Focused Drug Development Initiative

In response to the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) announcement that lung cancer is one of the diseases included in FDA’s new Patient Focused Drug Development Initiative (Initiative), the American Lung Association launched a campaign to mobilize lung cancer patients, their families and patient advocates nationwide to ensure FDA hears their voices and perspectives.

As part of this campaign, the American Lung Association has created this easy web form for lung cancer patients to submit answers to the questions FDA posed to the lung cancer patient community. Because these are part of the formal comment process, patients choosing to complete this web form must give their name, email address and state.

If you would still like to share your experience and perspective with FDA but would like to do so anonymously, the American Lung Association has also created a survey for both lung cancer patients and their loved ones, which can be completed anonymously. The results of this survey will be aggregated and only the overall results will be shared with FDA. The survey can be found by visiting www.lung.org/pfddi.

The deadline for submitting your comments via this webform is Wednesday, July 25, 2013.
