Step Up to the Challenge and join us at the Fight for Air Climb! Our Climbs are held in prominent skyscrapers around the country, giving participants the opportunity to join together with friends, family and co-workers as they climb the stairs of the building to the top!
As the largest fundraising climb program in the country, the Fight for Air Climbs make a significant impact on those affected by lung disease. The funds we raise support research, education and patient programs to help the millions of Americans impacted by asthma, COPD, lung cancer, air pollution and other lung diseases.
Our participants achieve a sense of personal accomplishment as they reach the top of the building and the height of their fundraising potential. Every step you take moves us forward in our fight for healthy lungs and clean air.
Tom lived with lung disease for almost 30 years before receiving a double lung transplant in 2009. The next year, Tom’s sons, Jason and Jeff, formed a Climb team in recognition of their dad. As the 27th individual to receive a lung transplant from the University of Iowa Hospital, they chose the name Team 27. After six years of participation, Tom and Team 27 have raised more than $90,000 for the mission of the American Lung Association!
