It’s time to get back into “Climb Prep Mode” here are some tips to get you started.

Training Tip – The best way to insure a successful climb is to start training today.  Begin a regular cardiovascular program to build lung capacity and start working on developing leg strength.  When winter settles in, take advantage of the weather.  Activities like cross country skiing and sledding can build cardiovascular strength and endurance.

Fundraising Tip – Create your own team t-shirts for climb day.  Get a deal from a local t-shirt vendor and have them personalized.  Charge each team member $10 above the cost, and put that amount as a donation towards your team’s fundraising goal.

Team Recruitment Tip – Host a climb meet and greet or practice climb.  Gather any interested climbers together for an info session before or after work.  Invite a representative from ALA or have veteran team members speak.  A practice climb is a great way to get people interested in joining.  Use your work building, or find a nearby area with stairs. You can also check with your Climb Manager for upcoming training opportunities.
