What is Asthma 1-2-3?
This school training was designed by the American Lung Association of the Midland States to inform school personnel about the prevalence and severity of asthma, while teaching basic management techniques, including what to do in an asthma emergency. This asthma awareness presentation can be offered during a one hour in-service to school staff. The overall goal of the program is to improve the lives of children with asthma.

Who is Eligible to Attend this Training?
Facilitator Training and Certification is available to all health educators, nurses, respiratory therapists or other health care professionals with advanced training in asthma education who are willing to work with schools and the community to conduct Asthma 1-2-3 in-service presentations. As with all American Lung Association programs, facilitators must be non-smokers.
