American Lung Association Office - Phoenix, AZ

Register today to become a certified Freedom From Smoking® Facilitator and help your employees, community, or patients become smoke free and benefit from a healthier lifestyle!

June 11-12, 2013

102 W. McDowell Rd.     Phoenix, AZ

Freedom From Smoking® is based on the proven addiction and behavior change models. The program offers a structured, systematic approach to quitting.  It has a positive focus, with an emphasis on the benefits of better health.  Because no single cessation technique is effective for all smokers, the program includes a comprehensive variety of evidence-based cessation techniques.

Facilitator Training

The Freedom From Smoking® facilitator is responsible for conducting the clinic. You will:

*Introduce the techniques to the participants

*Coordinate the activities

*Facilitate group interaction

The Facilitator must help maintain participants' motivation and commitment to quitting smoking. This should be done with enthusiasm, belief, empathy, and knowledge. Facilitators are the foundation of Freedom From Smoking®. *Facilitators must not have used tobacco of any form in the last 12 months.
