Learn how to help adult smokers quit and reduce healthcare costs, by attending a Freedom From Smoking (FFS)® Facilitator Certification Workshop now being offered throughout the Northeast. FFS has been a proven and effective program offered by the American Lung Association for over 30 years.
Evidence based and adhering to best practice guidelines, FFS continues to be the gold standard of smoking cessation programs. This certification workshop will prepare individuals to conduct an eight session group program using the respective curriculum and materials, and help smokers understand their addiction to tobacco while giving them the tools to quit smoking. This series of workshops is designed for health care professionals, occupational health nurses, wellness coordinators and human resource professionals who are interested in helping their patient, employees or members of their community quit smoking.
Certification is valid for three years.
