What is the N-O-T Summit? The N-O-T Summit is held each year to provide the latest information and resources around youth tobacco use, quitting tobacco, the latest trends in products and use for tobacco and marijuana, discussions on challenges and successes from facilitators, and updates and information on the N-O-T program.

When and where is the Summit? Friday, September 21, 2018 from 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM in the American Lung Association in Colorado offices located at 5600 Greenwood Plaza Blvd., Ste 100, Greenwood Village, CO 80111. A light breakfast will be provided and lunch will be on your own.

What is N-O-T (Not On Tobacco)? N-O-T is one of the most effective teen cessation programs in Colorado, producing 20% or greater quit rates for all tobacco products, including e-cigarettes and marijuana. The American Lung Association's N-O-T program is voluntary (meaning teens join the program on their own rather than as a disciplinary action) for teens 14-19 years of age, has multiple sessions, and participants learn to identify their reasons for using tobacco, healthy alternatives, build strategies to quit tobacco use, and learn skills to remain tobacco free or address slips or relapses.

Questions? Contact the N-O-T team at notcolorado@lung.org. As a result of the recent funding cuts by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), reimbursement for hotel, mileage, substitute teacher pay, and lunch are not available this year. The American Lung Association in Colorado is working to secure long-term funding for the N-O-T program, if you have suggestions on potential funding sources or would like to donate to the program, please reach out to Bob.Doyle@lung.org.
