Clementina "Tina" Romero

Clementina Romero of Snellville, GA passed away October 1, 2019 after a long battle with cancer. Tina was 83. Tina is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Alberto Romero: their son Andrés and his three children Mary Alexandra, William Andrés, and Isabelle Josefina; their son Horacio, his wife Rupal, and their son Vijay Samuel.

A native of Medellín, Colombia. Tina moved to California, USA in 1964 and then reconnected with Alberto in New York City and married in 1965. They began their life in NYC and moved to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania in 1967 when Alberto was offered a position as professor at Lehigh University. She was a loving and supportive Mom to Andrés and Horacio. Tina also was an avid gardener who grew beautiful hydrangeas and tended a bountiful vegetable garden. She continued those nurturing ways by becoming the adoptive Mom to many Hillies. At the Hill, Tina served as head of the language lab and a tutor. Tina and Alberto retired from The Hill in 2005 and moved to Snellville, GA to be closer to their sons and grandchildren. Tina enjoyed her retirement expressing herself through her many arts and crafts projects, completing jigsaw puzzles, and seeing her grandchildren grow.
